If true, I'm pretty excited. If it ends up being 4g (unlikely, I know), goodbye Bionic! Even if not, still maybe goodbye, Bionic.

If it isn't 4G I won't even consider it over the Bionic. Im not going to get locked down for 20 months on a 3G phone.

Then again, maybe not July after all...the latest:

A Verizon spokesperson has just confirmed with us that Computerworld‘s report of the Galaxy S II being launched next month is not accurate — rather, it’s the LTE-enabled version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 that’s going on sale in July. That’s not to say that Verizon won’t be launching the phone — rumors have been floating around for about a month now that a variety of American carriers are taking a good, hard look at adding the well-received model to their shelves — but for the moment, Verizon customers, you can turn your attention back to other goodies like the Droid Charge. No dual-core on that one, granted… but at least you still have Super AMOLED Plus.

Wish there was more info on when this phone is coming to Verizon. Totally seems like a great phone. Maybe we need some leaked pics and specs?

No doubt...I've heard some whispers that it may very well be. We'll see!

After owning a Fascinate (a Galaxy S Phone), I will not buy another Samsung device.

Samsung was very locked down as far as androids go. Sammy is now fully encouraging open development. That will produce a much better user experience in new Samsung devices

Exactly. The GSII has received nothing but stellar reviews. It blows the Fascinate away. I'd never be so close-minded as to let one bad experience spoil my overall opinion of a company, especially when they're clearly headed in the right direction and getting better in all facets. Now, if they weren't showing improvement or were getting worse, that's another thing...but, that's clearly not the case here.

I completely agree. The GS2 is getting crazy good reviews in the international market. I know the Fascinate was not a very good phone, the Galaxy line is getting better and better. I can't wait until GS2 comes to US. Want it now!. lol

Can they put LTE in it and retain stellar battery life? I think some of the new Qualcomm chipsets are promising but will they be ready by the end of the year. The MDM9600 doesn't cut it.

As trivial as this may sound, I am completely enamored of the Samsung display. I've been waiting for this phone for a while, as many of you have. But if this isn't 4G LTE, I'm looking at you, Bionic...AMOLED screen or no.
