Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, How to switch to 2G?
I have a Rogers branded Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc LT15a, there is no way to switch to classic GSM, does anyone know how to bypass this and use GSM? My signal with classic GSM in my house is twice as strong. Thanks in Advance!

I downloaded 2.3.3 firmware custom generic global for my Rogers Sony Arc. It has the GSM only function now. Also battery life has increased significantly now. Seriously 2.3.2 was bad for the ARC but the 2.3.3 is a massive improvement, and really makes me not NOT regret getting rid of my iphone 4.

Ok, looks like I will download generic firmware. It makes no sense that Rogers blocks the 2G function. I have a 2G tower right beside me, 3G is okay here with Rogers, but Telus and Bell's signals die all the time. I rather use 2G at home because I get a drastic signal improvement and better batteries. I could for-see someone in a fringe area having signal problems, when a manual switch between 2/3G would fix the problem, why the heck does Rogers black out the feature?
