Looks like i got lucky ! everyone says not to buy the phone from ebay but i took a risk and got one for $80 on ebay. I asked the seller for the imei before he shipped it so i could check it, and get a new sim from straight talk. So when the seller gave it to me i checked it on straighttalk.com (pretending to setup an account) and it said it was clear. So then i called straight talk and asked for a new sim...gave them the imei. then they shipped me a sim (got it the next day) Then a couple days latter my phone arrives so i pop in the sim and go on straighttalk.com to activate, But it says that its already activated. So im like what this must be a mistake so i go on straight talks facebook page post my problem and my ticket #, they message me asking for my sim # and everything and they activate it and are porting my number now it all worked out great . So i saved $100 vs buying new at walmart
cant wait to get my galaxy s ii to use on straight talk
[QUOTE]One additional note: For those wondering about the voicemail speed dial. Here's how I set it up on my Inspire. Go to Settings>Call>Voicemail Settings and tap on Voicemail Number. You should have the option to type in a new number. Type in your ten digit phone number and save. Done. This may vary slightly depending on the phone.[END QUOTE]
I have a question about changing the voicemail speed dial number. Right now the voicemail speed dial is a network #. How does it work putting in my own number?

The process you quoted has worked on every Android I have tried. The phone number you need to use is YOUR phone number.

Renegade, is there an advantage to changing the voicemail#?
Well, it changes what you phone does when you press and hold 1 on your keypad. Otherwise it will try to dial ATT's voicemail number like you were their customer....which doesn't work.

So I have heard that ATT's APN has changed on the Samsung Phones (infuse 4G and inspire 4G), does anyone know if this affects us, and where we'd get the new apn file to add?
I have a infuse 4g and its the same apn att.mvno 4g only works in like 1% of atat coverage map so its not realistic to get 4g everywhere on atat yet
I live in denver and ran speedtest, net on my infuse about 50 times driving around colorado andonly 2-3 times did my download speeds get 4-5 mbps but upload was **** everywhere 200-300k
Hope this clears up the 4g aspect of it
Also had a regular att sim to test and same speeds on infuse
I have the HTC Inspire 4g and used the SIM from an E5. How do I change the HOME logo back to AT&T? or something better such as an image? I have rooted the phone and using cleardroid ROM
If your comfortable with editing smali code, you can try. Or if your running CM, it would be possible to re-compile the code with some minor changes to change the carrier stringm
