I have Clear with the "basic" $30/month plan. To be perfectly honest, I bought it by default after Verizon and Comcast both failed to follow through when I tried to order Internet from them. But I am pretty satisfied with it, since it is faster than the ADSL I was used to.
However, I have found that it isn't really fast enough for streaming video (even Standard Def) or some other more advanced tasks, and I'm a bit of a power user.
Should I start paying $45/month for the faster "premium" plan? Is it really faster, or would I just be changing from "throttled plan" to "secretly throttled plan"?
No one answered my thread, so I had to do it myself, sadly at great cost.
No Clear plans are worth it. For me, the service was about one fifth the speed they advertise. Their customer service doesn't speak English, and the only two troubleshooting tools they have are to tell you to move around your house and to censor people's complaints.
I have had clear for almost 2 years now. It is lacking in speed. I can't watch a YouTube video without buffering at least 4 times. However does handle audio quite well I stream jelli or pandora through my clear service plus other devices doing the same without much of a problem. Did complain and still do complain to clear month and continue to get service for $25 a month
