Hello,
So using docomofilemanager, I created a folder and tested with random .doc, .docx, .txt, etc. files, but trying to open Document viewer with the phone results in the no available data error message. Could the problem be that the file extension for Document viewer in the n-04b is different?
Another question concerning docomoFM is that I see the PC Movie option there, but cannot find it in my phone. Was this feature taken out in the n-04b?
Concerning video encoding, I referred to the NEC guide (http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...-02A-Guide-***) and used TMPGEnc4xpress. I had to use the MPEG-4 AVC format in order to get 480x854 resolution. However, this results in my videos having only sound and no picture. Using the ISO MPEG-4 format allowed successful encoding with both vid+aud, but the resolution limit is under 480x854 and quality is pretty bad.
Thank-you in advance for any help.![]()

Thanks for the reply.
I think the n-04b might be "picky" in the type of .mp4 it can read? I tried loading some of my old 320x240 videos I made for my ipod classic before onto it, but it still won't play those files encoded under MPEG-4 AVC at those low resolutions. However, it does play those under the ISO MPEG-4 format even under higher res. Guess I'll just stick with ISO mp4 then >.<
you put it in the imotion folder?
I had pdf working in nec, but dont remember trying doc, but i thought it worked
keitai in general are very picky with what they will play from my experience. Its been a while since i put anything on mine, but i seem to remember it refusing to play anything that wasnt the exact aspect ratio.
aw614: yep, I put the videos in the imotion folder, but I kind of gave up trying to get them to fill the entire screen hehe, pdf files are working for me too since those are under "My Documents"My only problem is with the "Document Viewer": my phone isn't detecting anything in that folder for some reason, even though I'm transferring with SDUP
the_emh@hotmail: aww that sucks... I guess even its native screen resolution's ratio can't cut it T.T At least it plays back the recorded vids properly without a hassle haha
Anyway to "add" the function to "pause" while recording video?
