How much do you want to bet that they have Bluetooth locked down so you have to use airtime to get your pics off the phone?

Not just pics! What about transferring phonebook entries?

Can you transfer contact info via bluetooth on the LG501c or just pics and ringtones? How do you like the phone?

Nice. Definitely gotta pick up one of these.. I think I'm going to wait and see when it's available locally to see if I can get it cheaper. My LG 290C is good but it's a bit bulky and it keeps unlocking itself in my pocket.
Castrol EDGE 5W-30 is my drug of choice.

    Primary: iPhone 6 64GB, Lumia 635, & LG L90: 5 lines, 1x $15 5GB data, 2x $5 Android web, 1x $2.99 T-Zones, corp discount + $10/mo loyalty discount = $93/mo tax inclusive
Secondary: iPhone 4S & Optimus Dynamic II: TracFone (Verizon); LG Mach: RingPlus (Sprint)
Tablet: iPad Mini Retina w/ T-Mobile 4G LTE

Are you sure your 501c isn`t branded Net10?

Just like Tracfone, still pushing GSM over CDMA. Fewer featured, but $10 more expensive than the 500G.

Nope - got it in my hands and TracFone transferred my 2500 minutes to my new phone with "little" problems

No Freddy Meyer Grocery in my area, so thought it unusual that it would appear the same day as online.

Mine did too, until I found a great solution. Go to Amazon and type this in the search box:

LG LX290 "FACE IN and OUT" Optimum Black Holster

That's the exact item name, so it should find it instantly.

It's one of those hard plastic 'holsters' that's built for a single specific phone, and it has a swivel belt clip. I hate belt clips and wearing a cell phone on my hip because somehow the phone always falls to the floor (gets out of the holster, or the holster's clip somehow rides up off the belt, etc.)

So I just hacksawed the belt clip and swivel mechanism completely off the rest of the holster.

Now I have a form-fitting holster the phone snaps into, SCREEN FACING INWARD to protect against screen scratches AND to leave the ringer speaker port fully exposed. Most importantly of all, it covers both the unlock keys (indeed ALL front keys) with stiff plastic so they can't be accidentally pressed and it also totally prevents the phone from being able to slide open AT ALL, not even a little bit.

This prevents BOTH accidental unlocking situations permanently. And it doesn't add much to the phone dimensionally, since the clip and swivel are totally gone so the back is nice and flat and thin.

Try it. They're around $4 each so you might want to get a spare, too. Mine works wonderfully and has SOLVED the pocket-unlock problem with this otherwise EXCELLENT phone model.

What other phones are about the same as the 501C? I'm buying one and can't find a case or other accessories that say they fit this model. Thanks

What is the difference between the LG500G and the LG501C?

500G is GSM, has a microSD card slot, an MP3 player. a 1.3MP camera with video recording and you can download apps to it. The 501c is a CDMA phone, has a VGA camera (no micro SD card slot, no MP3 player, no video recording and you cannot add trusted apps to is).
