The specs of this device are amazing. Its hardware is better than the Nexus S, and at a lower price. I'm really hoping the Wind batch of the Optimus 2x won't suffer from the same reported hardware/software issues. I guess we won't know till June 23rd...

May be the old batch..but the ones Wind has are good.
Wind model is not the 2X but the 2GX,
It is a big difference between the 2.

I'll wait to see if they worked the bugs out before I consider buying one. The dev community is on fire right now with them however, for that reason and its hardware I'm considering it.

Was going through the specs, and was surprised to see it does not mention an integrated GPS, only A-GPS. Is this true?

A-GPS is GPS. It means it has assisted included in it.

Thanks for the clarification. I usually see both mentioned explicitly in spec sheets, so got a bit confused.

I will be upgrading my Nexus S to the Lg 2X also as I have read many reviews and it loads much faster and the camera should be a lot better (8 Mega pixel vs 5 on the Nexus S)
Also, I like the fact that there is an SD card slot where the Nexus S does not have one.
As for updates, if LG do not do them on a regular basis, they are going to fail for life in the Android department so I can bet my next kid that they are going to keep up with the updates!

Wow that's a great deal for a (relatively) newly released up-to-date phone from a carrier. Kudos to you and Wind after so much complaints about not having a good phone.
