I plan on getting the new phone but I am holding off until they are released on July 19th.
Not a fan of Best Buy as it is and them doing a pre order at 300 and having VM [or someone] say that is not their price makes me want to stay away from them even more.

Tried to preorder by getting their credit card but didn't want to pay the fee, then decided it's probably for the best since usually VM phones are available a few days before release and I hate waiting for shipping. Also the lower number of preorder the higher chance it is discounted upon release. Anyone find the sku# so a few days before release we can start calling stores?

Smartest thing is to wait, this could be another 'Intercept'. I'll wait for all the unboxing utube and review vids.

IMO electronic deals are like weather, changes every 5 minutes. I also feel the euphora will fade, $300 is a lot of money!!! (at least to me)

Not a bad deal... relative to other phones priced at $450 that you have to connect to a plan. I have one on preorder. I ride the train from Paoli to Philly and Virgin's only dead spot was just before 30th St station where both AT&T and T-Mobile lost service as well using Optimus V. AT&T and T-Mobile have numerous dead spots cutting out between 5-8 times while listening to NPR on the train on the way to Philly (I've travel daily and know too well), Virgin only lost service once as mentioned. The maps are not representative of the service that AT&T and T-Mobile provide. Virgin is a bargain in my area, more phone and better coverage at a much lower cost. Maybe the Triumph will sell for $225-$250 in 3-6 months...IMHO $300 is a bargain on Virgin in my area.

I would wait a bit and read customer's reviews before moving on.

I pre-ordered one, only after asking a bunch of questions regarding returns and price matching. I can cancel anytime during the pre-order. After I receive the item, I have 30 days to return it. I can also price match it if I find a better price advertised elsewhere. They won't match an offer, for let's say, a gift card though. I figure, if radio shack or target has a lower price, I'll just price match it. If they offer a gift card, I would just return it to Best Buy and buy it elsewhere.

Anyhow, I have 30 days after receiving the phone to price match or return the phone. It is only after knowing all this that I decided to pre-order it since I would have a lot of flexibility.

Wait until it is released, buy it immediately, use for <30 days, and return if not impressed.

I don't like BestBuy and I'm still researching the Optimistic Black as an alternative.

I'm pretty sure that I will be getting the Triumph, but I will wait until the day that it's released and hopefully pick it up from the store.

I think that I may order it straight from Virgin Mobile once it launches so that I have the "you can return it for any reason up to 30 days" guarantee that they have. No retail stores that I am aware of, especially Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Radioshack have that sort of return policy.

Walmart and Target definitely have a return policy, without restocking fee. I bought my Curve 8530 from Walmart and returned it within a month to go with the OpV

Radioshack does as well, despite the poor customer experiences others have expressed. I bought and returned my OpV within two weeks, before later repurchasing it with a larger discount.
