Hey I was thinking of picking up a WIND Nexus S, and was wondering if it comes SIM Unlocked, or if I have to wait a couple of months, reason being I need the phone for some work where I may have to use which ever carrier my boss is using.
From what I read the AWS Nexus S supports AWS+GSM and not only GSM like the Rogers Nexus S... but the Rogers Nexus S is advertised as unlocked, anyone care to confirm or deny any of this?

That's from their site, I assumed those were correct GSM and AWS frequencies. I already have a decent phone I'm not going to ditch it, unless the phone is fully cross-compatible.Technical Specifications
Frequencies / Bands: GSM/GPRS/EDGE : 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz HSPA AWS 1700 MHz, 900 MHz and 2100 MHz
The nexus s is sold unlocked.

Why not wait for the Nexus Prime to come out in the Fall if you can?
If he wants to get a phone now then he should. A new nexus phone likely won't hit canada for a long time anyway, and when it does there will always be something better on the horizon.
I don't want to, but I have to... if I keep working up north I need permanent access to email and surfing, and although the WIND roaming rates for talk are no big deal... using Roger's data on a WIND account is just brutal.
I was under the impression I could get one Nexus S for both, which would have been great. Too bad it's not the case.
Funny you mention that... my wife has one and she had to send it back to Nokia... although a former Nokia fan, I wasn't too impressed with it.
I think I'm just going to hold off a little longer, and try and get some form of broadband at my second residence, that would pretty much sort everything out.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant T-959 which is a T-Mobile phone that originally was GSM. It has been rooted and unlocked and works on Wind, Roger, and Fido. Would this phone be a better choice than a Nexus S and would it work on Rogers or Fido's 3G network as well as others around the world. Just trying to give you an options and find out more about my phone.
