    Question 5-band HSPA? HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 + 1700? AT&T/T-Mobile on the same phone?

    Hi all-

I'm looking for a new Android for a co-worker.. has ANYONE (Android or otherwise) made a 5-band phone before? Every new handset I look up seems to offer distinct versions where 850, 900 and/or 1700mhz are mutually exclusive. This really screws anybody switching from T-Mobile->AT&T or Rogers ->Wind (and vice-versa), and international travellers who might want to use these and other 1700mhz carriers. There seems to be no technical reason why these can't all be supported, is it purely manufacturers screwing the end-user at the request of carriers?

While I doubt you will find a phone w/ all 5 bands, your best bet is to use the Phone finder tool at
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

Afaik there are NO Androids with all five intl 3G frequencies in one phone. The only phones that have it all are the Nokia Sybian 3 smartphones including the N8, E7 and C6-01 (some versions) . I don't know of any other pentaband 3g phones at this time. One plus of many Nokias at this level is that they come pre unlocked.
