After several calls to CSR I gave up and send a message to Customer Support using form on their site. When they replied back I describe my situation and they were able finally to attach my number to 9900 MEID! Then, I put my 4G SIM and it starts to auto programm, it will do it several times and never stops trying. looks like it tried to activate SIM or anything, anyway, after next attempt you should call any number and you will get Welcome to your new prepaid service! After that all features except data works. Then I removed SIM and BOOM - my Thunderbolt fully working on PP I have 1X data but I this is not so important now, I will try to get 3G later on.
So, here's my steps to get TB to PP with your old number:

    1. I used youtube tutorial to manually programm it first, like unlock, add PRL, data settings etc.
    2. Activated it with temp number. I used ebay dealer for 0.99 but you can find places where you can do for free (in my case when I've tried free methods I always got some error but it turned out that was a glitch in PP activation system that day).
    3. With 4G SIM on auto programm it and make test call after it successfull (in this case PRL got updated). After this point it fully worked on PP with 1X data. If you don't need to port number - you are done after this step!
    4. Ported my number using 9900 via ebay dealer for 0.99. Port went successfull BUT PP didn't attach my old number to this MEID.
    5. Send email to customer service with ask to attach your ported numberdo so. Wait for confirmation that they did that.
    6. Put 4G SIM, and start activation process (it will go automatically).
    7. After you got notifacation that activation was successfull make a call, and you will get Welcome to your new prepaid service.
    8. Remove 4G SIM and enjoy your TB on PP!

Hope this will help to others!

Wow!! I'm gonna buy a Thunderbolt today and use it on PP because its about time to upgrade and was soo excited until i heard you can't use it on PP.. and i was very upset. But this gives me hope. Which video did you follow? I want to make sure i follow the same one. Also which ebay dealer did you use, you can PM me if you'd like. Also hows the 1x speed? It shouldn't be too bad right?

A couple things, FWIW......you do not need to use a top secret, better, best, shifty or whatever kinda dealer to do the activation. Heck you can call PP CS and they will activate it. As far as hearing that a 4g phone cannot be activated on PP? Well, there are dealers out there that are telling people that they CANNOT use a 4g phone on PP .......This is simply NOT true. I am sure that it frustrates those dealers to no end as it has been said that PP has mandated that response (?). But, I'm not sure that dealers telling customers that 4g phones are not allowed and then encouraging them to buy some other phone is the right approach......it seems a bit deceitful. I'm pretty sure that if a dealer told me "no 4g phones", convinced me to buy something else and then I found out that a 4g will work I would NOT be doing any business with that dealer.

I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.

Have you successfully activated a thunderbolt on pp? I was planning to just activate it that way and not tell them too but apparently heard there are problems when its in use because of the 4g card and how it can only have talk or text while the card is out and data only when the card is in. I would just activate and see but from what I've hears and read I think it might just give me more problems.

With 4G sim in I have all services, not just data. What I meant in my post is that without 4G SIM I have everything except data and with 4G SIM I have everything with 3G data not just data. Sorry for mispresenting this info and confusing you.

It's a little bit more difficult than i thought, i called PP to try to get my MIN and they told me i needed a telephone number under the phone so i went ahead and activated the phone and going to call them now to see. The MIN should always be the same, no? For example if i get the MIN now and do the ESN swap to a old phone to have this phone be clear so i can flash it should be the same MIN no matter what i do?

    very confused

I have bought a used thunderbolt w/ intention of using on PP. Think I am WAY over my head. Will/Can any PP dealer activate this for me?? If I want data, I have to do that flash programming stuff mentioned in the cited videos??? If i just call PP and activate with sim out and using meid number I'll have voice and text but no data - is this correct?? The used phone I got did not come with the 4g sim card -- should it have?? I'm thinking maybe I should return it . . . .thanks!

I have activated the phone without programming/flashing it and all it did was activate it but it didn't work for me. Now i did follow the video and i got call/texts but i can't get data to work.. Once i figure that out, i'll be set. Can anyone here help me with that? I have calling and texts but data isn't working for me.

My ThunderBolt is working perfectly. I bought it recently on sale on Cowboom.com (verizon remanufactured phone - $130 w/ charger, manuals, near-new condition). I thought I could just call Page Plus and activate it (with sim card removed). This is not the case. I read the posts, looked at You Tube videos about how to buy the progarm and reprogram it to flash it to Page Plus. Decided I was over my head and it sounded like the program cost over $100 and required windows 7 computer and did not install smoothly. I found a reference in one of the posts to BeigePhone.com. I called and talked to them. They charge $50 for programming a verizon thunderbolt to page plus. I mailed my phone to them on Wed, us priority mail fully insured with tracking($15 from Washington State to their shop in Dallas, TX). They programmed it to Page Plus, got me a local number for my location (decided I will port my old number to Google Voice and just forward calls to my new PagePlus number) and activated it. It arrived back from Texas on monday - awesome service and still well within the 30 day return period at Cowboom.com. It works perfectly. It makes and receives phone calls. It sends and receives SMS and MMS texts. It does internet and email. It works on mobile internet and wi-fi. I am very pleased. It is running Android version 2.2.1. Sending it to BeigePhone was cheaper than buying the hacking program and all I had to do was turn it on when it got back. It is a very nice phone with big screen and I like the larger size for viewing and touch screen. It is a heavy phone, even without the extended battery. And, I need to down load some aps to save battery life by fine tuning settings and also some aps to prevent all the garbage programs from dialing home. I had Beige Phone activate PagePlus THE 12 plan($12/mth), and in one day it had used up this plan's data attlottment (10 mb). So, I set up my page plus acct and bought a standard phone card for $10 which gives it 50 MB more data and the additional dollars for data rollover if not used. (I plan to use it on WIFI most of the time). However, I loved sitting in Costco parking lot yesterday and checking email! For general information it does not have a sim card in it. It returns a message to this effect when you power it up. You proceed to unlock it, ignoring the message and it works perfectly. Upon power up it says "No SIM Card in Phone (emergency calls only) Please Insert Sim. If you ignore that message - tap it in the middle of the screen and drag/flick down, it then unlocks and is on one of the home pages. It is an awesome phone, working perfectly. It was well worth having BeigePhone.com handle this. I am going to get one for my husband, too, now I know it works. And, since the phone arrived from Cowboom without any sim card, I emailed their customer serivce and they credited me back $20 for the lack of sim card. The phone also did not have SD card but I bought a sandisk 32 GB microSDHC card on Amazon for $30. I am not a tech person at all, so this solution was perfect for me.

That is correct, you will get a notice saying SIM card not recognized. You can sweep the screen and safely ignore that message.
