Are we saying that Pdanet does not work on the MT? That would be a deal breaker, I need tethering about once a month when I'm on the road to check stuff. Did you try the WIFI connection instead of bluetooth?

Same results here. Pda net works over bluetooth and usb just fine. Barnacle only loads pages owned by google. I sent an email to the developer of Barnacle. Hopefully if enough of us do this, we will get some help. Leave feedback at http://szym.net/barnacle/ or email them at barnacle@ that same domain name.

Its really easy.all you do is download the app and follow the instructions.all you do is download files to your phone.then files to your sd card.then boot up your pc and transfer the files from the sd card to pc and install them.then check debugging on your phone and click the pdanet icon on your pc to get internet.what i described was for usb tethering i dont have bluetooth.

    Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (Android; Opera Mini/6.1.25577/25.685; U; en) Presto/2.5.25 Version/10.54)

wondering about the Wi-Fi status? any luck? I'm guessing all the required hardware is in the phone... right? just a matter of the OS being crippled.

Yes, of course, I totally forgot that, I used to use PDAnet back before I got the VM Optimus V, now I've been using the built in hotspot. Have to revert back to PDAnet if I get the MT. USB is fine for me, keeps the phone charged ha.

...................... Just wondering how many people have actually analysed the packets?
Clearly with android-wifi-tether 3.1beta 2 or 3.0 pre14, DHCP is not working so the client cann't automatically configure ip address.
Just set the client to 192.168.2.200 mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.2.254
    dns 8.8.8.8 , 4.2.2.4

I am able to use non-http(like ftp) or Google http services(gmail, reader, utube) on my laptop, and even stock weather/stock on iphone but for other websites I get so many TCP RST/Tetransmission(because of no/slow TCP respond). Not sure what's causing the problem. Probably bug in android tether.

I don't get why some people blame hardware for this........ Pretty much all WiFi devices can "tether"(Just like ICS in Windows)? Sure there can be software issues(firmware, driver, application, OS) but hopefully those can be fixed if someone decides to do it.......

Waiting for Hotspot tethering. Got my MT but have not swapped phones yet because I need this feature.
Interesting thing I have zero issues with my MT, non of the bugs people have reported. Lucky one??
