although I love my triumph, I think its pretty clear that the missing install files tells the owner... your phone will never get an official upgrade.
very sad considering the price, plus the obvious flaws that could be fixed via an update (missing dictionary for android keyboard).
it also tells me that Virgin manipulated and crippled various elements of android to prevent certain actions (like Wi-Fi). I think a PROPER rom on this phone would fix that problem.
however, back to updating (officially). that's a pretty sad statement.... it's basically saying "no gingerbread for you.... from us".
while lots of people claimed problems with the update process on the intercept, mine went completely without a hitch.
of course we all know there are ways to unofficially fix things and update the OS (hopefully). but... there really SHOULD be an official route as well.
