My Wife's DROID 2 all of sudden is giving her Wifi connectivity issues. It hangs on turning on and then it scans in 1 second it turns off and then it seem like it is stuck in a loop, it goes on and off by itself. So my first attempt to fix this problem was to reboot the phone, didn't work so I did a battery pull and then an SD card pull, still nothing. The Wi-Fi won't turn on and stay turned on like if it is toggled by itself on/off immediately. So then, my last thing to do was factory reset found inside the phone. So I did a Factory reset inside the phone under settings and it still did not work. So I did a hard reset, I did a hard reset by turnin on the phone while holding the letter X until I see the triangle with the exclamation point and it still did not help.
Just letting you know, I am on the GINGERBREAD PREROOTED LEAKED FOR DROID 2 released by P3DROID.
So I had no choice but to sbf back to FROYO and on FROYO it says "Error" when you try to turn on the Wifi. It tries to turn it on and it did stayed ON for a bit but the phone frozed and started to crash and force close on the WIFI. I then played around ith my router settings and even changed my SSID to see if that will fix it to find another network instead of trying to connect automatically and it still did not work.
I've done research about it and people have said that it has to be something with the kernel, and i've downloaded some kernels that P3DROID released for android 2.2 and nothing.
