So I assume you're getting the T-mobile version? I think it's a pain to use that with AT&T as you're only getting EDGE?
But the Sensation is the first dual-core from HTC, and you can't go wrong with it.
It's a great phone to try for stepping into Android land.
I wouldn't consider anything by HTC after that piece of crap Nexus 1 they put out. Did they test it first? I
don't think so.
Yes you should buy it. It is a great phone. Very easy to use from an android standpoint.

Screen is gorgeous. If specs are important to u, I'd wait for the sg2 to compare. But I'm happy with mine.

If you end up buying it, perhaps you can use it on ATT 3G after all.
First, HTC specs say that the phone has quad band UMTS/HSPA+ bands for 3G internet and higher.
Second, there is a way to change the band settings in the service menu
http://forum.xda-developers.com/arch...t-1259342.html
and under phone information, there is a setting for network selection, allowing toggle between GSM only, CDMA, etc.. This one gives more options than simply going to mobile network setting through the menu.*#*#4636#*#*
This code can be used to get some interesting information about your phone and battery. It shows following 4 menus on screen:
* Phone information
* Battery information
* Battery history
* Usage statistics
Once you enter the code, press the menu button (next to home) you will get the following options:
Select Band Radio | View Sim Address book
-- ------
View Fixed Dialing |View Service Dialing Numers
Numbers
-- ----
GET PDP first *** more
Once you chose Select Band Radio, it will ask you for GSM/UMTS band, ranging for Automatic, EURO band, USA Band, Japan, AUS Band, AUS2 band.
I'm wondering if any of these will work with ATT?
I'll test it out once Tmobile gets me the unlock code
Yes definitely go for it. HTC Sensation is a good phone. I have used it for a while becuase my friends own it and i would totally recommend you for it.
The Sensation is a great phone but if you're looking for other options in the price range try the HTC Vivid and Amaze 4G.
CDMA - a great technology, hobbled by greedy carriers and a closed business model. Its a pity, really.

I have an i4 too. Bought my third sensation yesterday because ics justcame out for it. Great phone, prefer it over the s2 personally.
