Color me underwhelmed. I'm on standard plan and appreciate a lower texting rate, but that data rate is still beyond ridiculous. I'll never turn data on at that rate - if they lowered it significantly I'd actually use quite a bit and they'd make more money off of me.
i need it be lower still! LoL. Make it comparable to PlatiumTel's go-rates: $0.05 per minute to talk/ $0.02 per text/ $0.10 per MB and PagePlus will be the dominant Verizon's MVNO prepaid!!

They also lowered data rates on the standard plan to 99 cents per MB
Its a step in the right direction but I don't expect this is going to lure in customers who wouldn't have already come over to pageplus with the previous rates on these respective services.
.75˘/Mb would have been more appropriate if they wanted to really compete on data without undercutting the card plan rates.
At 99˘/Mb I doubt you're going to see many people change their usage significantly
Personally if I were in their position I would have snuck this in UTR when they released their new plans rather than have it be a stand alone change.

The only thing Sprint or its MVNOs have to offer is price. To call their coverage "spotty" is to give them a compliment. Sprint is not the provider you want if you travel around the country and want to communicate.
I welcome any reduction in price. My main line is with pageplus, but I do maintain another line on Platinumtel just for data. Carrying two phones is not really fashionable, but something I can live with. It will be more convenient if ppc data rate on standard plan is close to 1200 tnt plan (15 c per MB), but I would consider that luxury, not a necessity.
Anyway, ppc does need to make profit to stay alive, so ppc can continue to offer $80/1year plan, which I love... No complaints from me..
