When the Triumph is charging at night, the LED is red. I find that it illuminates my room with a soothing red glow that puts me to sleep.
When the LED turns green, the sudden change in room lighting causes me to violently awake from my sleep.
Obviously a design flaw! I'm sure they'll agree with me at Best Buy as I return my 15th phone.
note: All previous phones had similar issues. Everything from hurting my thumb to causing ringing in my ear.
BEWARE this evil phone.
I'm looking forward to getting a replacement (lucky number 16).
* reality; Still enjoying my first Triumph. An excellent phone.

Has anybody figured out the LED colors yet? I'm still scratching my head when it glows green... (for messages, not charging).
Much of the poor call quality with VM is the phone and not the network. Back when I had my Samsung Intercept calls were a nightmare. When I got my Optimus those problems went away, heck all my problems went away, all I would have really liked out of the Triumph that it didn't have was a larger screen, not even 4 inches, 3.6 or 3.7 would have been great. Now that I have the Triumph I have a whole new slew of problems that I never had with the Optimus. So yah the phone is the problem not the network. Oh VMs network is anything but perfect. But I can guarantee you these issues are phone specific, NOT network.

I put my triumph in the microwave today to see if it would turn itself into a hot pocket. All I have now is large hole in the center. Oh well, at least now I can measure the speed of light!
It's hard to tell sometimes. I had call issues with the Optimus V every time I was on the phone longer than a few minutes. After about 5-10 minutes, the person on the other end of the line would state the audio became indecipherable. I wasn't in a moving car when this happened -- I was at home where reception is strong. It didn't matter whether I called them, or they called me. After a few minutes, every person I tried speaking to couldn't hear my end of the conversation. This occured the whole time I owned the Optimus V.
I was hoping that switching to the Triumph would solve this problem. Unfortunately, it does not. Talking to my brother last weekend, he had to stop in the middle of our conversation because the garbled noise started again. I guess it's a good thing most of my conversations are two minutes or less. Every call I've had longer than that becomes an exercise in frustration for both me and the other party.

Let's remember that this is a comedy thread (with hints of reality) created because of all the bizarre, unrealistic complaints about the Triumph ELSEWHERE. It's kind of a sarcastic, mocking zone.
Speaking of which, I just returned my 50th Triumph to the store. Somehow, it became filled with a mixture of dirt and belly button lint. I suspect the dirt and lint were already in the phone and are obvious design flaws. Also, when I take 99% of pictures they are beautiful. But, when I take pictures of myself... I look like a literal CLOWN (red nose, blue hair, big feet). Plus, if you look closely at my shirt... words have appeared! They usually say stuff like "God created the Optimus Black" and "Optimus V is not a crappy little toy". Weird!!!
Reality;
Still loving my Triumph.![]()
Ok.
The news widget on my Triumph only displays stories about abortion. My Optimus never did that.
The live wallpaper on my Triumph induces seizures in my parakeet. My Optimus never did that.
The power button on my Triumph smells of bacon. The Optimus had more of a buttered toast aroma.
The HDMI port on my Triumph ignited a fire. The microSD slot on my Optimus could put out fires, as long as you were rooted.
The speaker on my Triumph will only play Easy Listening hits. The speaker on my Optimus would only play cool tracks from Dave Matthews...none of that "Where Are You Going?" sell-out crap.
The Triumph's front-facing camera won't sync with the GPS. You don't know how frustrating that is.
Angry Birds on the Optimus V was "Angrier", but less "Birdy"...which is good. The Triumph has that all backwards.
Text messaging works on the Triumph, but it always tacks on the phrase "in bed" at the end of each message.
Blatant false advertising. I bought the "Triumph" but my baseball team didn't Triumph at all. We lost big time.
Plus the phone broke when I slid into second.
The Triumph's single band 1800 antenna gave me leukemia, twice. Optimus never had that problem. Returning.

My parakeet has not been well these past few weeks in bed. also, I agree about the smell of bacon in bed.
I certainly have a lot more fun with my optimus in bed.
