    OK LET'S GET STARTED:

Power on your phone. Enter : *#7465625#

This will identify which code is active and which is inactive

2 - Remove battery. Now partially put your new SIM card into the slot, just enough to prepare it to be fully inserted. Put your battery back in (you may have to slide it under SIM card) and power on your phone.
You must see " Insert SIM" NOT "Invalid SIM"

    3- Now enter : *2767*3855#

Your phone should restart within 1 minute,

Now just before it restarts, quickly finish pushing your SIM card fully into the slot without removing or disconnecting the battery.

4- Your phone should now work and accept the new SIM card, however, if you check the Locks you will find that your phone is still Loked.

    5- Now enter : *7465685*638*00000000*00000000#

Your new UNLOCK CODE is now 00000000 - WOW! you did it all by yourself.

LET US NOW LOOK WITH THE INTENTION TO UNLOCK ALL THE OTHER CODES:

6- Again enter: *#7465625# - to review active and inactive LOCKS.

Now LET US perform the following:

    - Disables CP Lock : #7465625*27*00000000#

    - Disables Network Lock : #7465625*638*00000000#

    - Disables SIM Lock : #7465625*746*00000000#

    - Disables SP lock : #7465625*77*00000000#

    - Disables Subset Lock : #7465625*782*00000000#

I really hope I was able to help you my friend!!!

If you feel generous and want to buy me a drink, send me a private message for funds transfer.

    Enjoy,
    telespirit.
Pls note that after inserting an active chip in a country I am currently visiting I get a message: "no SIMM card". Well, this is a Galaxy i897 so it may not work on this one...

the original post was made 3 years ago by someone who only appeared here once. This method of sucking n unknowledgeable people to destroy their own phones should have prompted a moderator to instantly remove it.
GoogleVoice (domestic call forwarding and cheap intl. calls) Use GV to give us a "home" number in a 2nd location
6 T-Mobile lines - Unlimited talk and text, data. 2G fast data on each line . $120/mo. + taxes. We have had no landline in more than 10 years.

I am going to leave this thread where it is. There is a disclaimer in the post saying that it may not work. Personally, I would research anything before just following random instructions that are posted. Please let this be a warning to anyone thinking about trying this.

this doesn't work on most phones and you risk erasing everything.

Just unlock with the phone network unlock code and do it safely, contact your network and request the code or buy one

This method is obsolete, anyways I found some good method on how to enter codes for Samsung devices here: https://www.unlockbase.com/how-to-unlock/samsung/, but for the code, you have to purchase it there also.

    A777

    hi
Tried on a Samsung A777 (quite old, but a good one)
    Didn't work. Still locked (AT&T)
I do not have the details of the original owner, so they wouldn't help me
    Any solution?
    thanks
