Which Boost phones are readily APP Tetherable into WiFi HotSpots? And which aren't??+

oh and 1 will there be a Galaxy s2 variant for Boost?

2 will Verizon's s2 variant be reliably flashable to Boost? will Sprint's?

3 are flashed phones able to do MMS/picture mail and WiFi hotspot?

1, You can not use any Verizon phone, or any Sprint Android phone on Boost without ILLEGALLY modifying the ESN of the device to be a CLONE of an already active device.

2, Enabling MMS is as easy as making sure the APN and or MMSC URL are set appropriately.

3, 99% of all Android phones running 2.0 or newer can do WiFi tethering.

wow! i did notice a couple sellers of flashed sprint and verizon phones, require not just your current boost phone # and pin, but also your current phone's ESN!

some of them did however list that picmail/mms wont work.

99%? then GS2 shouldnt be an exception! yayyy

hows about a non-android Windows phone like HTC touch pro, can they work as a hotspot? one person told me yes just install the tether app from market, another person said windows phones cant use market they have to use an MSN based propietary app store and but the wireless ttether app for 30 bucks before u can make a hotspot... =/

    thx DT boost guru!

The Galaxy S2 can wifi tether, but that's not relevant to Boost.

The Sprint HTC Touch Pro, and Touch Pro 2 will work and can wifi tether, as can the HTC Mogul.

so is the sprint HTC TP2 (non android) running on Windows, able to be used on BOOST without ILLEGAL ESN CLONING??

what are the possible consequences if Boost discovers an individual is using a cloned/flashed Sprint or Verizon phone?

Yes the TP2 can be used on Boost...

Well, you'll hear different things from different people, but using a CLONED phone, you risk prison time, and huge fines if convicted.

On the other hand, if you're using a TP2 on Boost, which requires absolutely NO flashing and no cloning, you would most likely have the ESN removed from the account, and possibly flagged on the network as active/lost.
