Thanks! I think you convinced me. I just wish there were a BBM nearby, at $210 it's a real bargain... surprised they don't honor that deal at BB stores, same phone, same company, what's up with that? I'm hoping Target runs a special soon.

I know how to conserve battery, that's not an issue at all for me... don't really care if I get 24 hours less with the MT. Signal is my only concern, my home phone is VOIP if that goes out all I have is cell and I have to go outdoors to barely find a connection that will disconnect every couple minutes. Not a deal breaker if the MT fails here, but would be nice to be able to make an emergency call. I also use GrooveIP on 3G and WiFi; 3G is not that great and if the MT signal really is worse GrooveIP may not be usable at all on 3G. Does anyone that shows zero bars in the status bar, get a phone db reading of over -105db (and can make calls)? When my OV hits zero bars I lose signal. If the MT bars are not accurate, that's a big plus!

I am VERY happy with my OV, it's never given me any problems; the only feature on the MT I want is the larger display, that feature alone is worth the upgrade to me (as long as other features aren't much worse). The signal "problems" are the only thing that's held me back... but I'm just going to have to try one out to prove it to myself one way or the other. Thanks for pushing me over the edge... you may regret it if I end up with a lemon, I may actually start bashing the MT

I consider my Triumph to be a mini tablet. Why would I want to carry a phone AND a tablet?

I really can't understand all the supposed problems listed about the Triumph. I went to best buy and got it on the day of release... no problems at all.

I know two friends who bought the triumph on my recommendation, and they have ZERO problems and love the phone.

Target is now selling the phone, and they have a great return policy. The Triumph is the best phone available for pre-pay. If you're thinking of getting the Triumph, don't listen to the pathetic trash talk in this forum.

Before complaining about the freaking GPS, do what the freaking instruction manual tells you... and go OUTSIDE and let the phone aquire the satellites. Don't sit in your freaking basement and complain that your OV worked down there. If you need GPS to work in your basement.... you're a freaking loser. Buy a dedicated GPS system... and enjoy navigating your basement.

Also, before complaining about the signal strength, try making calls and see if any of them are dropped. My phone tells me I have a weak signal, and yet I have NEVER had a dropped call.

Battery doesn't last long? welcome to Android. I owned ALL three Android phones on VM and battery life is comparable. Why do you think there's all those battery apps? Because most of the phones suck up the juice. Just shut the hell up and charge your phone each night.... or get one of those emergency charge gadgets.

Buy it... and test it out.

I would highly recommend the Triumph.

Excellent post; I couldn't have said it better myself! I, too, got the Triumph the day it came out and I couldn't be happier with it. Does everything it's supposed to and it seems the more I use it the happier I am with it. I'm not trying to downplay the issues than some people are having; just trying to emphasize that there are some very happy Triumph users.

So true cellphone-guy, I am absolutely in love with my phone and everything you said was spot on! I listen to music, play games, download stuff, check facebook, and do an obscene amount of texting, and I have never had the phone die on me. I see no reason not to charge it at night, if you don't have an outlet near your bed you shouldn't have been able to afford the phone in the first place. Even though I don't have a huge use for the GPS, it has always locked on right away when I've tested it in my second story room. Reception is fine too, it does very well with little to no bars, which I know freaks out some people, but I've only had one dropped call and it was partially my fault since I was driving through the country.

Yeah, but I don't know of any VM Android that excels in this dept. Do you? It's not as bad if you have the screen brightness turned all the way up. I used to think it was much worse than it really is until I realized it was on auto and needed to be overridden.

The earbud hole is too fragile.
Huh? Not only do I not think that is really a problem, but I have never seen anyone else mention it either. What problems have you had?

Reception...well, you guys cover this one pretty well, not going to elaborate more.
Can it make a call? Yup. Does it drop a call? Nope. Not on mine anyway. That's what matters.

    Camera/camcorder....not very good picture quality.
Camcorder, maybe. The still camera though? Totally false. It takes fantastic photos. Go look at the photo thread in this forum with shots that I and others have posted. It's amazing.
