I recently bought a Motorola Milestone 2.1 for the purpose of testing android apps. I don't have a SIM card for it as I don't want to have to pay for a phone plan that I don't need on a testing device. Unfortunately this means that when I turn on the phone it tells me "No SIM card. Emergency Calls Only."

Is there any way to bypass this screen and use the phone purely for Wi-fi and Apps without a SIM card? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
