Still love my DroidX
Which is the best touch screen phone to use on page plus, i want a big touch screen(capacitive preferably). i use the 45 a month plan but i can add more data if need be.. wifi is a must.. what would you suggest.
Still love my DroidX
there soo expensive
I own a palm pixi plus, and it was my main phone for some time. It is small, reception was good enough, and although small, keyboard was decent, which allowed me to type with one hand (with just thumb).. Wifi works perfect..
Weakness is in the volume of ringer and strength of vibration. I often missed calls, or didn't know I had a call for hours, because I was not able to feel the vibration inside my pocket (or from a holster, either..)
For now, I have move to Blackberry 8530.. Not a touchscreen, but does the job, and also comes with WiFi.. Blackberys do have much stronger vibration, and louder ringtones.. I may go back to pixi plus, because it still is a decent phone, and I bought it as "new", not "used"...
If you want to buy a "new" touchscreen phone for pageplus, Palm pixi plus maybe your only option, since other "new" phones will be in three digits without subsidies.. Only reason pixi plus is so cheap is that Verizon is clearing them out, for one reason or the other..
i know you said u want a large screen but I have been very happy with my Droid Pro.
will a phone with a bad esn on verizon work on page plus?
No. A bad esn on Verizon is a bad esn on PP as well.
oh okay.. how hard is it to replace a screen on a droidx or incredible?
If you have patience and the right tools, you can just follow a video like this.
I took apart my son's droid and the hardest part was getting the sticker out of the phone without ruining it.
to increase the ringtones. Trivial. Sync your ringtones to the computer via USB drive. Use
mp3gain -g 20 *
to up all ringtones by 20dB. Then sync the ringtones back. I wear hearing aids and I up-ed the
ringtones by 30dB - no problem hearing them.
I have had several vzw phones and by far the best imho is the HTC Incredible. It has been replaced by a newer model so the original isn't as expensive as when new. It has everything you wanted, relatively large screen, WiFi, has good volume and vigration is strong enough. I used to switch phones about every 5 months, the Incredible I have used for over a year.
