Hey new WIND users (I'm not one unfortunatelybut hoping to get my wife on WIND) can you post your Speedtest data results? And also you location so we can see how the coverage is.
Much appreciated!

Tethered BB 9300, Stanly Park area. Signal fluctuating between 4-5 bars when untouched (when held, 1-2 bars). The results when at 4-5 bars:

Quick! Someone with an HTC Sensation drive to waterloo.
I will post some speed tests later from my nexus one. Overall though download speed has been solid over the last two weeks (3.6+ mbps)
I'm new to the BB platform so maybe someone can recommend a better app to do this. I used the only speedtest app i could find on the appworld under fixmo tools or something. This is using the a brand new BB Curve 3G
Came up to this:
Test 1
Avg Download: 1.3Mbps
Avg Upload: 1.8Mbps
Test 2
Avg Download: 3.4Mbps
Avg Upload: 16.65Mbps
Test 3
Avg Download: 4.5Mbps
Avg Upload: 3.8Mbps
Test 4
Avg Download: 1.5Mbps
Avg Upload: 15.0Mbps
Test 5
Avg Download: 3.1Mbps
Avg Upload: 19.1Mbps
Yes upload > download most of the time and by alot... one of them even at over 19Mbps proves indeed it is 4G capable! But how reliable this app is i dunno as it fluctuates A LOT even though all these tests were done with phone stationary on my desk with no interference, and I cannot tell which server it is using for these tests since there's no option to select a server, but the BB did tell me the app was using location, so it probably uses my closest server.
I attached ss of the last test to show indeed that's what the app is reporting. Can't be bothered with the other ss, but these are all true results taken around noon today (launch day).

I thought the blackberry curve was only rated at 3.6Mbps? There's no point in testing if the network is getting faster speeds on a BB that doesn't support the max speed of the network.
Looks like that app is using cached data, there is no way you are getting those upload speeds on a BB(the >10Mbps speeds)
i agree, so this is probably a bad app. Reason for these results probably due to the file size being tested on isn't large enough so the initial burst of datalink made the result spike high.
anyone know of a better way to measure on BB? i don't want to tether either since that adds another layer of uncertainty
I had 1.9ish down around Laurelwood Drive when I was in Waterloo on Saturday
Cando!
These results are taken on an Optimus 2x from the MathSoc office on the third floor of the Math and Computing Building on UWaterloo campus
First try:
Down - 4728kpbs
Up - 373 kbps
Second try:
Down - 3138kpbs
Up - 397 kbps
Third try:
Down - 4129kpbs
Up - 372 kbps
I would call those results, disappointing... Considering very few users on the network right now.
