The microUSB port looks different on this phone compared to other phones. Anyone know if it's compatible with the regular microUSB charger? Why does it look different?

    different looking port

I believe that with an adapter, of course purchased separately, it becomes a HDMI port.

Does anyone know if the glass on the Amaze is scratch resistant like Gorilla Glass or do we need to buy a damn screen protector?

I got my Amaze and love it. Actually, I think I like the SenseUI better than the shell. The phone is a little slippery in my hand so I ordered a case. The wifi and GPS is damn good compared to my previous Samsung Vibrant.

    PM Sent.

Btw, the screen is gorilla glass and the charging port does support regular micro usb. And yes it has also the AT&T 4G bands.

You will not find forming gorilla glass in any documentation.
Look at xda for a post from htc.

A user sent an email to htc re gorilla glass. The answer was that a suitable alternative was sourced. No gorilla glass.

That's just fine, cause the sensation does indeed have Gorilla Glass and it scratches much easier than my HD2 which did not have it.

I think you get those non-T-Mobile UMTS bands after unlocking.
