    I was wanting to do this for my droid2global to use my virgin Mobile account (phone died) on the CDMA side and my Tmobile Prepaid as a backup for GSM side. If I change the MEID to match my dead Virgin Mobile phone will it mess up my GSM side of the Droid2G? Also I am not sure on memory locations for this I am using the stock Verizon rom. Can anyone help? I was going to use my Droid1 but I have not been successful in changing the MEID.

    Would any of this work on the Photon series with Sprint?
    I'm having such a hard time following on account of the years past and the tough to follow English.

    I am trying to do this with a droid x2 and am having problems. I was able to do this with a droid x, but the it isn't the same with the x2. I tried to scan the memory, but apparently it is impossible for motorolas. How would I scan the memory to get the right esn and meid locations then? If this is not possible, then what can i do to fix the esn and meid?

    It works

    Has anyone tried repairing with an MEID from a non-smartphone? Does it still require data plan?

    Yes, it works, data plan avoided... (No data plan added, MyVerizon.com thinks its a W385 (Moto Flip Phone))

    I used a Motorola Droid A855 - Android 2.3.7 - 1Ghz Kernel

    I don't think it matters if you're on 2.3.7 or not, as I got these addresses from another A855 running ICS, they worked fine on the 2.3.7 Droid.

    These are the addresses that worked, the other ones provided in this forum did not.

    ESN:
    [START]
    [NewESN]=0xESN GOES HERE
    [Interval]=90
    [Addrs]
    0x00325EC4
    0x0032C694
    0x00353370
    0x0036E0B0
    0x0036E28C
    0x006AE4F8
    0x006BB860[END]

    MID:
    [START]
    [NewESN]=0xMEID GOES HERE
    [Interval]=90
    [Addrs]
    0x0036EAE8
    0x00326340
    0x0059688C
    0x005A1F30
    0x005A6E95
    0x0060A528
    0x00628630
    0x006BB858
    [END]

    Calls work both ways, (incoming call goes to v-mail, unless Droid makes 1 outgoing call after script start - I usually call v-mail and then hang up).

    MEID in Status menu still shows old MEID, but calls work.

    I did *228 after I ran the script for the first time. With the wrong memory addresses it asked for a number and a billing password. When I got it correct, it went straight to the activation music.

    Hope this helps anyone...
