And still packing a Droid I hope! I will be very disappointed if I ever see her with an iPhone!

Should have lots of interesting things to show off...maybe even a Samsung device or two...much to my dismay.

Susurro he said he wont give a release date. But, most people have been going on the idea that it will be a holiday release, given that Sanjay said Moto would release another LTE device before the end of the year.

i'm betting so. Moto basically said that it wants to incorporate webtop/lapdock on all of its high end phones.

I hope you are wrong. I'd like to see it as a vanilla ice cream sandwich handset. That would be nice.

I would like to see vanilla too but i appreciate the benefits to webtop to suit my needs. I would actually prefer a nexus device on Verizon but... yeah, i doubt that.

Its not useless if you use the laptop dock. That beats caring around a separate tablet/notebook that you would have to tether anyway or pay for a another data plan. If you have a need for that functionality. if you don't then you can use titanium backup to freeze or uninstall the app.

I have a laptop that I do all my work on so I really don't have a need for webtop.

Im not ruling out a vanilla device though with the HD. Never know.

I'm hoping for the Prime as well but im not to sure it will drop on Verizon. If it does I will be all over it.

[rant] The quality of this discussion goes down fast when people know it is off topic but post it anyway [/rant]

To stay on topic. I have heard that Verizon "loves" this phone...no idea why and not sure I trust Verizon's "taste" in phones...because as far as I can tell it just seems like a slimmer Bionic. Hope to be surprised.

CEO Sanjay Jha publicly spoke of Motorola’s interest in Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform, and even openly threatened to use Motorola’s IP to wage war on other Android vendors. In this context, Jha was asserting power and giving Google ultimatums. Gruber continued, ”I don’t think it’s curious at all why Google didn’t simply license Motorola’s patents. Motorola held out for a full acquisition at a premium far above the company’s actual value, and threatened to go after its sibling Android partners if Google didn’t acquiesce. Thus the public threats from Jha and Icahn. Thus the high price. Thus the lack of a simpler, cheaper licensing agreement. Thus the unusual $2.5 billion reverse breakup fee.”

well, slimmer and an improved display - both of which are pretty big selling points for me. if they bump up the processor a little bit into the 1.2-1.5 ghz range (maybe with an OMAP4460) too, i could see why this would be a device to be excited about.

Haven't some ramblings claimed it's not an actual HD display, but still qHD? I have a hard time believing this if they do in fact go with Droid HD as the name, but stranger things have happened.

yes, BMX/Panda posted on AC, and a jimmy-something posted on DF that it's not a true HD screen. however, BMX did say that the screen had a better resolution/clarity/crispness than the qHD (he said it wasn't as "grainy"). so, altho not 1280x720, it is supposed to be better...

and, as an aside, if MS is successful in delaying this device, i might have to punch Gates right in his weaselly little face!
