My question is if Moto will make good on their promise and release this thing with an unlockable/relockable bootloader?
Seems to me that is one of the top issues why people are holding out for the Prime over the Bionic. Would be an opportunity win back the favor of the development community.
Does anyone have any concern regarding the non-removable battery? I'm still carrying my rooted Droid, and battery-pulls have been required before (boot-loops, rom freezes, etc). it's the only thing I'm worried about!
I've wondered about that too. Do phones/devices without removable batteries have a reset hole where you stick a pin or something? I have the Asus Transformer and I don't think it has any hole like that. I also haven't had any need to remove the battery to fix any issues either.
I smell a "tablet dock" accessory coming for this............
Good guess!! Uh oh.... That clip thats been seen recently with some phone docking into a tablet, gamepad and laptop dock with the phone used as the track pad, ..Moto might be trying to one up folks again.
If the DHD lacks any hard-reset function I think I'll pass, and get the Bionic. Pentile display, and all.
My Xoom tablet has no reset hole that I'm aware of and definitely no user changable battery. If it ever locks up on me (which it has maybe twice since I got it), you just hold down the power button and the volume up key on the side and it forces a reboot. I've never had a situation where it was completely locked and could not get back on without a battery pull. I can't imagine the Droid HD without removable battery would operate any differently.
Wonder if the HD is the Slimline? I seemed to have forgotten about this one when it popped up a while ago on Moto's website. There was another handset called the Zaha as well. At any rate Moto requested the pics be taken down and they were.
I_think_the HD just may be the Slimline and according to Pocketnow they are speculating this as well. Droid RAZR = Slimline?
Slaughtr may be onto something. if the HD is not the actual name, and the test builds don't resemble the final product, it's a pretty good guess to say that it could end up as the Slimline or Zaha. but, i would guess it to be the Zaha, since those renderings indicated a 4.3+" screen, and the Slimline was only about 4"
if the DHD ended up with a form factor similar to those renderings, and had the specs we've been hearing about (improved screen, 1.2-1.5 ghz, LTE), that is definitely a device i could be all in for.

Darn. Thought I had made up my mind. My OG Droid is on its last leg. Three fourths of the screen is non-responsive.
Those improved specs-----> seems worth waiting for.
Only other thing I could want is a better camera. Even if it's still 8mp, I just want better performance. Outside pics look pretty bad compared to the Thunderbolt.

Reason: Really want to voice concern over camera quality
