Symbian Anna now available for download

Sorry for what might be a stupid question. I have a N8 sold by Dell with product code 059C8T6 with software verson 014.002. I seem to remember the phone recognized the Anna update was available in the past but I never updated. But now the both the phone and Ovi Suite say my 014.002 is up to date. Did I miss something?

Here's my theory,
Nokia did release Anna 25.007 for your product code, it is still in Navifirm. It showed up via Nokia Suite and OTA for awhile.
Then Nokia decided that 25.008 was a better version for NAM phones. So they put it up on the OTA server for some of the product codes. I don't think they ever really finished getting 25.008 out, since it was never on Navifirm or available through Nokia Suite for the specific US NAM product codes. That is why some users got 25.008.
I think that they might have even stopped working on Anna and devoted more efforts toward Belle.
Your phone communicates with Nokia it's product code when checking on updates. If your phone shows up as a phone which needs 25.008 and there is nothing available for your product code, then it shows 14.002 as current.
Nokia has decided not to update your product code.
I really think the outsourced Symbian operation is showing some fatigue.

So just for chits and giggles I went to update my phone today and I just about fell outta my chair as my phone actually had "Anna" and a bunch of other updates all ready to push my way. The updates went fine and my phone is faster now. This update ate up a whole heap of memory on C:\ I had 41mg before and now I only have 18mg. Is there anything I can do to get rid of unecessary tmp files or install/update files to free up some space? Thanks for your time.

I checked my phone today and it said to connect to a PC for a software update. Ovi Suite then showed 25.008 was available and it is for " bug fixes" without the mentioning of Anna. I do remember the previous update was titled Anna on my phone.

to free up memory, simply restart ur phone again. temp files will go away

It looks like all the 25.008 US NAM Anna firmware for the N8 has been released via OTA and Nokia Suite.

I have to say I'm impressed with "Anna". I've had Anna 25.007 for a couple of days now to play around with and for me at least everything is better and I mean that literally. My camera fires up faster and process' images faster too. The new interface is nice and to top it all off...all my hacks work and I got unlocked for $6.00 CDN insofar as this gadget goes its been a nice trouble-free year.

Initially had a problem installing the update. But tried a second time and it went fine. However, I am still not sure what the update fixed.

Never updated my N8 to Anna because of all the issues, but now Belle is available for my N8 product code (059C8T6). Just wondering if I have to update to Anna then Belle or I can jump to Belle directly. Anyone tried that?
