GO launcher EX help!

i've been looking at a few tutorials on GO launcher EX, and one major problem i have ran into, is the preferences menu. for some reason i only see the following sub menus, Themes Settings, Screen Settings, App Drawer Settings, Effects Settings, Operation Settings, Advanced Settings, Backup/Restore, About GO Launcher EX, Exit GO Launcher EX. as you can see im missing a couple sub menus such as; Display Settings and Dock Settings. I would like to know how i would fix this so i can further customize my launcher.
i have a rooted LG Optimus V with the stock rom.

Did you open those settings? Display and Dock settings are under "Screen Settings"...

yes ive checked, but the option to hide or show the status bar, among a few other features are not there. would you recommend me just sticking to GO Launcher? and what exactly can GO Launcher EX do that GO Launcher cannot?

there are more features like hiding the status bar under operation settings>key and gestures

I've never used golauncher, how does it stack up against launcher pro, which I absolutely love. Does it have it's own scrollable Widgets like LP has?

Lol how do u like launcher pro? Its horrible IMO
Im using go launcher and its so simple and perfect, better than normal vanilla launcher
Oh and 1 more thing the honeycomb is the best theme for it, i dont use anything else

I wish i could screenshot my g2, its absolutley beautiful

Give it a shot... I was a big launcher pro fan but recently switched to go launcher and I like it better.

The best theme I've found is by eSeth called the Iphone 3 theme. Very simple, great icons and my favorite feature is the Gingerbread like black menus. Give it a try!

love go launcher. I was confused about hiding the status bar too, there is another post down further if you want details how to do it.

Hello Everyone.

I am using Go Launcher 3.0 and just noticed when I select Menu>Preferences it restarts my Go Launcher Home screen. So, I cannot access any Go Launcher Preferences anymore. Here are the facts about my phone:

Carrier – Sprint
Brand/Model – Samsung Epic 4G
Model number – SPH-D700
Firmware version – 2.3.6
Baseband version – S700.0.55.FC09
Kernel version – 2.6.35.7
Build number – GINGERBREAD.FC09
Hardware number – D700.0.5

Total space (SD) = 14.90GB
Available space (SD) = 11.69GB
Available internal memory = 187MB

I was using Go Launcher 2.87 without any problems. Then, I updated to GL 3.0, and after 2 days, my Preferences menu does not load anymore and just restarts my Go Launcher Home screen. So, now I cannot access any Preference settings, and cannot do any Backups.

What should I do?

P.S. How do I un-install GL 3.0, and just re-install GL 2.87?

Sounds to me like the problem has to do with the update not being fully compatible with your phone; which is odd/rare, but it happens.

You'll probably have to wait it out until they supply a bug fix update.
