Gingerbread for Fascinate 3g???

On Twitter yesterday Telus put out a statment that Gingerbread is now available for the fascinate 3G. So, I go through the hassle of updating Kies, plugging in my wife's phone, etc.....

The phone currently has 2.2 (Froyo) on it. Well, when I plug it in, it says that 2.2 is still the latest Firmware?

Did Telus jump the gun and announce it before Samsung put it out? Has anyone updated their phone sucessfully?

make sure KIES is the latest version available... When I loaded mine this morning around 9am eastern time, it said there was a new firmware version available... hopefully Gingerbread will rein in the Fascinate 3G's battery consumption a bit...

I had the same issue as Gangrel yesterday, just plugged in my phone and its updating as i type this

Yes, I guess they were a day early.

I updated my wife's phone as well. I was hoping this build would fix the GPS issues, but it appears they haven't done anything as it still takes forever (or never) to lock onto the GPS..... bummer
