GetJar was a great site a few years ago but it's becoming less and less useful which each site update. The latest version has eliminated user reviews, no longer tells you whether an app is freeware, ad-supported or a demo, and the option to download to a PC is gone.
It is still possible to download from GetJar to a PC. You need:
Firefox
The User Agent Switcher Firefox Add-on
Some mobile phone user agents. here are a few to get you started:
NetFront/3.5.1(BREW 3.1.5; U; en-us; SAMSUNG; NetFront/3.1.5/WAP) Sprint M350 MMP/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 (Samsung Seek 240x320)
MOT-V3/0E.42.10R MIB/2.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0 (Motorola RAZR 176x220)
MOT-MOTORAZRV9/4 BER2.2 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; 14003181) Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 Op! era 8.00 [en] UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0 (Motorola RAZR 2 240x320)
MOT-V177/0.1.75 UP.Browser/6.2.3.9.c.12 (GUI) MMP/2.0 UP.Link/6.3.1.13.0 (Motorola V177 128x160)
Procedure:
-Install Firefox and the User Agent Switcher
-Add one or more of the mobile User Agents to the Switcher. Don't include the description I added in the ()'s.
-Launch Firefox and select one of the mobile agents from the switcher menu. Use one from a phone with the same screen resolution as your phone to get games that fit your screen.
-Go to http://wap.getjar.com/ in Firefox. Find an app or game and download it to your PC
-The file you downloaded will be a .jad file. You also need the .jar file. to get it:
--Open the .jad with a text editor or WordPad.
--Search the .jad for "MIDlet-Jar-URL:". Immediately following that text is the URL of the JAR file. Copy the URL into the Firefox address bar and the .jar will download.
Too complicated? There are other sites that aren't so screwed up, although they don't have as many apps as GetJar:

http://mobilestore.opera.com/
http://www.phoload.com/
