Charging a E71-2 by USB

This may seem like a really stupid question, but how can I (if I even can) make my Nokia E71-2 charge via a USB connection?

When I plug in the USB cable, I get a choice of:
PC Suite (I know, that has changed to OVI suite)
Mass Storage
Media Transfer
and
Connect PC to Web.

It would be really great if I coud use my USB car charger which I use for several devices and not have to have seperate cables for everything. Is it possible?

Also, how do I backup my installed APPS? I know I can backup my contacts and pictures, but how do I backup my Apps? (not all from Ovi Store.)

The E72 does but the E71 doesn't support USB charging.

You can get the Nokia CA-100 charger to draw power from a USB port and charge the phone via its charger port.
