    Speakout Data APN

Hey guys I just arrived in Canada and I purchased a 7-eleven speakout wireless card. I activated the monthly data plan but it does not work on my milestone! My milestone is factory unlocked and it's from Thailand. I have searched the internet and I have found sites that shows the APN settings although I've tried it and I can confirm it does not work. Any help will be appreciated, thanks guys

There is no data plan. Only a browsing plan.

If you get any data, then it is a lucky glitch.

I tried the settings I have found online (both the goam.com and the com.speakout.wireless) along with all the other proxy settings, user name and password. And yea sorry I meant browsing plan not data.

This is what I copied from the Petrocan FAQ's. They have the same provider as 7-Eleven:

"I have a new Petro-Canada SIM card, and have added the Unlimited Browsing but it still doesn't work.
It is possible that your handset does not detect the correct settings to access our browser. Also, there are some handsets that do not work with our browser. Refer to the settings for the APN:

    Homepage http://wap:8582/start.wml
    Connection security
    Off
    Active Bearer
    GPRS
Connection type GPRS Attach on Demand
    Authentication Type Normal
    Access Point Name goam.com
    User Name wapuser1
    Password wap
    Login Type Automatic
    Primary Proxy Server Setting 10.128.1.69
    Primary Proxy Server Port
    80

Please note that if you are using an unsupported handset, our Customer Service group will not be able to troubleshoot your issue. If you are still having trouble, contact your handset manufacturer."

Successfully tested on July 15th 2011. Managed to access Gmail using their website logon, but don't ask me how! I don't understand any of it. But if you've already tried goam then maybe it won't work anyways.

Hi, I am new to the world of wireless modems, but I just got an unlocked 02 Huawei U1752cu card from Europe. I also have the same problem. Before making any long commitment move, I wanted to test my stick here by using my Speakout sim card from my phone with the unlimited browsing plan. I installed the O2 software on my laptop, then created a GRPS/3G profile using goam wapuser1, wap and proxy 10.128.1.69. Most of the time, it will detect the Rogers GSM network, but it won't configure a connection. I heard about the Rogers 3G being now off-limits to Speakout users, but how come it doesn't configure to let me browse on their 2G / GSM? What's wrong?

check your phone's 3G frequency, as far as I know, MOTO's mobile phone sold in Asia usually use different frequency in WCDMA such as 900/2100 MHZ, not the one in Canada 850/1900MHZ.

    hey, Jeremie,

may be you face the same problem with anantha92, just check the 3G frequency of your device. Huawei device in Europe use the 3G frequency 900/2100 MHZ.

Make sure you selected the right APN in android and also make sure you received the text message from Speakout telling you that a new feature has been activated on your phone. My data started working maybe 2 hours after I activated it online.
