Need advice for what Android model to pick for my needs

    Hi all,
I'm going to be ditching AT&T for Verizon soon.
I currently use an iPhone. I have been very happy with it, except for shoddy service by AT&T.
I am not sure if I want to get another iPhone, or something else, so I'm considering an Android phone.
My highest priorities are as follows:

    * Extremely accurate typing response. IF this means I'll need a hardware keyboard, then that's ok
    * Decent battery life. I want to be able to go an entire day without needing to charge it
    * I need to be able to get hacked modifications for the OS
    * I will need to be able to use an app to tether without paying a tether plan. Currently I use PDANet on my JBed iPhone. I'll need the same freedom on whatever I go with next
    * GPS chip with accurate performance. The iPhone 3Gs GPS that I have is rather lousy, but my friend's Android GPS is no better, so I don't really have very high expectations
    * I need to be able to use approximately 5 email accounts. Some are Exchange, others POP, IMAP, Gmail, etc.
    * Camera

I'd like to get whatever will satisfy these needs.
I'm not even sure that a droid will make me happy, I may end up buying a used iPhone online simply because I am so used to it. But if there's anything that's really appropriate, I'd appreciate recommendations.

    Thanks.

I would suggest Droid Bionic, but LTE phones do sacrifice battery life for that insane data speed. If not I would suggest the Droid 3, with the external keyboard.

Just to let you know, I got four email accounts on my Android. GMail set on push, as this is native to Android; Yahoo Mail via Yahoo Mail app! Note this is a sync and pushes too. I got push Hotmail set up via Microsoft Exchange. It works very well. The last is an ISP mail account set up with POP3.

Motorola phones seem well rated for their camera performance and camera apps.

Many of the latest Android phones have exceptional GPS performance. My SGS2 and EVO3D locates in a snap. Not only that, but their network triangulation as well as reading wifi IP are both exceptional and can accurately locate you even without GPS. Lately I have been checking in Google Places without using GPS.

I'm not sure what "soon" means to you, but the Droid Prime (Verizon Nexus Prime) should release around the Holidays.
