Holding the GSII and Infuse (one in each hand) there's a noticeable difference in the way it feels, and with the same resolution I think the 4.3" GSII could be even slightly sharper (in theory). But for using it on TMo and staying off Bell I'd be willing to go to 4.5". For Rogers, maybe not so much.
=aw
You'd be surprised how much difference a few millimeters each way makes - a phone can feel and look noticeably larger with pretty small measured differences. Still, for me I'm extremely happy with the size of my Nexus One and its 3.7" screen; why would I want to make my device three quarters of an inch larger diagonally to get the *same* screen resolution? Call me when you can pack a qHD display into a sub-4" unit and I'll be seriously interested.

Lol I can sympathise with icjy here... Imagine going from the Nexus One (3.7") to a Nexus S (4") thinking 'it's only 0.3"', and then to a GS II (4.3") thinking 'it's just another 0.3"', and then to a Hercules... And, well, you guys get the pointEveryone has a certain threshold where it just feels too big after that point.
I used an HTC HD2 for a while, and I did feel that it was just about the upper limit of what I could use. I sometimes felt worried that I might drop it since I had trouble getting a good grip on the phone. I'd definitely prefer a 4.3" phone over a 4.5" phone, but given that we don't have much of a selection I might just go for it... I'm just waiting to see the price first![]()

Throw another one on the Telus+AWS pile: HTC Ruby.
Telus will be launching it exclusively in Canada. T-Mobile will get it in the USA. And we have already seen reports that it will have 850/AWS/1900 HSPA:

So if you want something a little less gargantuan...How does this device sound: 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Dual carrier HSPA+ (42Mbps speeds), 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 8-megapixel camera that shoots HD videos, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, NFC, Wi-Fi that’s all nicely packed up running Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. Sounds incredibly impressive… We’ve been informed that the HTC Ruby, also known as the HTC Amaze, will be exclusively released by TELUS. Pricing is not yet known but you can bet this Android will be available within the next several weeks.
Would not be surprised if this is the same Snapdragon powering the Hercules. But the Ruby will be driving a higher qHD resolution.
Interesting though that we suddenly have high end Android phone from both Samsung and HTC coming with 850,1900 and AWS combined.
Does SkinIt support the Samsung Galaxy Indulge?
