They've brought the announcements closer than originally intended [iPhone 5?], but I am a little more interested in what Docomo bring to the table. Thanks for the link anyway

Seems a bit early, isn't it? From what I recall the announcements are usually in October/November.

I'm keeping my eyes out for another flip android, maybe one that will work better in NA

Softbank seems to get the better phones from sharp from some reason or another too...

Seems to sort of flip-flop every release. Just a recent example: the 003SH was better (at least it had GSM, hm?) than the SH-03C, but the SH-12C looks way better than the 006SH.

Similar in terms of AQUOS SHOT releases (940SH had WiFi, the equivalent from docomo didn't, etc)

Docomo is shaking up their lineup it looks like. In short they're getting rid of the Prime and Pro catagories, and looks like they're hopping on the smartphone train. Also less than 24 hours on the softbank countdown.

No Prime Series? Mhm sounds bad, i hoped for a Flip Phone with Android and an nice illumination :/

An Android phone would probably always count as "Smartphone", regardless of it's shape. Since docomo seems to focus on smartphones now, the chances for an Android flip-phone are actually increasing imho!

No surprise at all. I saw a lot of iphones and android phone but not much flip phones when I was in hawaii. Opposite situation 2 years back.

I think they're just getting rid of the category as a classification/marketing name rather than the concept. Also t-2 hours for softbank.

I reckon we'll see a flip android soon from Docomo. Japan is smartphone crazy now. Everyone has or wants one! These releases should be good!

**** me, I love that phone! Not boring at all, it's simply ****ing awesome??? Full HD, small, waterproof and probably ok 12mpix camera as well!

Edit: Wow so many boring phones as well, only 104sh or whatever it was seems interesting fun and cool. No cool 3d flip phones or anything =/
