I know that Verizon postpaid phones that have touchscreens and html browsers are not allowed on the daily plans.
So if I want a qwerty slider to use the unlimited m2m Verizon prepaid texting for $10 with, I am down to a Lg Cosmos (postpaid and prepaid) and Samsung Intensity (postpaid and prepaid).
How about a Motorola Rival? It has a wap browser and a touch dial pad, but not sure if that qualifies as touchscreen.
The A455 Rival is in a grey zone on Verizon prepaid. Apparently it is hit and miss. Some work on the daily and paygo plans, others do not. The best way to deal with it is to get the meid number for this model and run it with Verizon prepaid CS and have them confirm whether that particular meid will work or not. Currently, Verizon is trying to clarify the entire block of A455 Esns to work on prepaid but are not finished with the process.
I HATE grey area byod because it brings thing to a pain in the *** case by case basis but that is the information that I dug up.
This is what I was wondering too, do we know for sure yet if you can put a Motorola Rival on one of the InPulse plans ($10 msg bundle, $1.99 daily)?
Would you be using it daily? you'd be much better off with the $50 unlimited plan.
I have an LG cosmos from when Unleashed came out. The battery life is outstanding. I didn't ever use it for tons of talk, and it is deactivated now, but i can leave it on the nightstand for probably over 1 week and the battery wont die. Turned off it will last months without discharging.
FWIW I ended up getting a LG env2 refurb from Ebay for $30 and the kids love it, don't seem to miss the sliding qwerty keyboard at all and we haven't had any issues with it in the 4 months we have used it except having to clean out the messaging inbox frequently, lol.
When I looked at the Lg Cosmos and Samsung Intensity they were selling for $80 new and I got a really good deal on the Lg env2 so I decided to get that.
