I apologize if this has already been answered. I currently use Straight Talk, with an iPhone using the BYOD at&t sim. I also am using the $30 T-Mobile prepaid Wal-Mart plan on a HTC Sensation. I am happy with the service, but I was considering getting a BYOD sim for T-Mobile on Straight Talk. The reason I would like to switch is the fact that I would use more minutes if I had more, and the possibility of being allowed to roam. From what I understand, roaming is not allowed with T-Mobile prepaid, but it is with the Straight Talk sim. Also, I cannot find anything confirming that the data limit is higher than the at&t sim. I was wondering if anyone knew what the suspected data limit is with the ST BYOD T-Mobile sim. Also, if anyone knows the difference with coverage T-Mobile prepaid vs. ST BYOD T-Mobile sim. Thanks
"Roaming" does not exist per se on ST. You are either on network (a carrier they have an agreement with) or not. Now on the data, anecdotally you may be able to sneak by with higher data use on the T-Mo SIM. There is nothing official to support that, and you take the same risk doing so as with the AT&T one--namely, you can be shut down and terminated, lose your phone number, and no refund of any kind.
