Samsung T469 Gravity 2 - JAVA apps wont access internet

I recently unlocked my Samsung T469 Gravity 2 which was originally with WIND, and ended up getting an unlimited data plan with Mobilicity.
Even though I managed to set up a normal WAP connection, every time I use an application such as Google Maps, eBuddy, etc. that require data usage a get an error message along the lines of "This application requires data connection."

So does anybody know how to allow java to access the internet?
