Straight talk android network provider question

I was Wal-mart today and seen the straight talk android phone for sale and asked the guy how the service is in the area , he told me its a little spotty in the area I'm in, and said if you look at the package and it shows the USA picture in blue , he said if its blue it uses the At&t network, , my question ,, do any of these use the verizon network? or others?

    Samsung SCH-M828C

The Android works on Sprint's network not At&T... it is not a GSM phone, it's a CDMA phone.

Probably clueless. Heres a page with the different coverage maps for ST on AT&T (GSM-A), T-Mobile (GSM-T), VZW (CDMA-V), and Sprint (CDMA-S):
    http://www.straighttalk.com/Coverage

The Nokia smartphones are on GSM-A. The GSM phones (phones ending in G) are on AT&T or T-Mobile. The phones ending in C are on CDMA-V, except the Android, which is on CDMA-S.

My advice, if you want the Android phone, go to Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile USA. The Precedent (aka Prevail on Boost Mobile) is a terrible phone.

Heres a map of Native sprint coverage, which is what the ST Android uses:

Ok, I have a simple question. Sprint shows coverage a short distance from where I live. Their Nextell map shows my town being completely covered by that signal. So my question is will the Boost or Virgin Mobile phones work on the Nextell network here at home and once I go to work about 15 minutes away, I will pick up the native Sprint signal in that town?

If it will work, I would seriously look at Boost or VM for a better phone than what I have with Viaero Wireless.

the map shows (Fair) phone coverage at my house which is nto impressive but shows Excellent 3G data coverage.. Is this really possible? great data with fair phone?

I would think the antenna on the unit would draw the same?

Its very similiar to an AM/FM radio, where with one radio you pick up talk radio on AM and stereo music on FM. Lets not get into the fact AM and FM use different types of antennas for best reception.
