Hi, I've been a faithful Mobilicity customer for awhile now, so much so that I've invested in some decent full price smartphones for this carrier.
Sure last Weeks service outage scared me, but it came back in full force. What really scared me today was flaky SMS throughput, so much so that I am really thinking of going ship, and giving up the unl'td internet and us calls.
Nevermind that my specific HTC current phone cannot send MMS mesages (be it picture, or converted lengthy text ones, that dont fit into the SMS v character limit - which is a pain to split them up into if im pasting long texts),
while my Nexus one could, with all the same MoMMS settings (known issue). Nevermind that in and of itself scaring me away, todays SMS issues are!
Here's the deal. I rely on non delayed tect messages to keep in touch during the day. Today, one totally was never received, while showed sent on my end, &, I also just received one 5 hours later from 6pm just now.
I will jump ship this issue alone, fully aware that I've "heard" Fido and Rogers have similar issues.. But in my heart of hearts, I doubt theirs is as bad as Mobi's due to this clearly "taxEd" network, as displayed by last Weeks $25 plan subscribers causing us downtime.
Does anyone have a reccomendation for a reliable non delayed service provider? Hopefully one without too ghastly text msg characterb limits, however that is not a requirement.
Thanks!
