The process was quite long. First, the Zune software on my desktop complained that it's not the latest, so it had to update itself before anything else. Then it was the first patch on the phone, and after that it was the second patch (which I didn't expect). I had to leave for dinner so I left the phone running the second update while I went out. I checked back later at night and it was done.
I'm still learning the new functions in Mango.
Don't worry, you can't on an iPhone either. Websites will have to start rolling out HTML5 versions, particularly once Windows 8 launches.
The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.
I am using 7.5 and am looking for a computer apps to send a text message to mobile phone.
Does anyone know of an application to be able to send and receive text messages between your Windows computer and a mobile phone?
Thanks

I've updated to Mango though, forcing it DOES work!
Windows Phone 7.5 (codenamed 'Mango') is a major software update for Windows Phone, the mobile operating system by Microsoft. Although the OS internally identifies itself as version 7.1, it is marketed as version 7.5 in all published materials intended for end-users.[1][2] The update was formally announced in New York on May 24, 2011, when Microsoft gave an in-depth preview of the update, shortly before which Steve Ballmer had disclosed that there would be over 500 features.
Microsoft started rolling out Windows Phone 7.5 to both the United States[3] and International[4] markets on September 27, 2011. The first phones that came pre-loaded with Windows Phone 7.5 were released in the last quarter of 2011.
