Verizon & Motorola need to come out with a release date or at least a target fiscal quarter. I'm tired of seeing these leaks & then being told from Verizon that they have no information. I even had a rep from a corporate store even tell me that "No device like that exists" and she would know about it even if it weren't released. This was back on the 8th.
Moto's reps showed the damn thing to Cnet, your web team is leaking pages/ files (They know how to keep stuff behind the firewall, but they don't). When you have more leaks than the flippin Titanic, but refuse to confirm the device, you're not generating "buzz". You're pissing off your loyal users / fans who are still holding on to original droids hoping for a viable 4G replacement with no good news in sight. The RAZR / Iphone crap that you're trying to pawn off on us does not count. Get it?
Apologies for the rant, but that's where I'm at this far into the Droid 4 "pre release". Anyone else feel like this?

heh, only 7 bucks on amazon
I HIGHLY recommend it
this has the same model number as mine, however it is slightly different in packaging, it also looks like there is no flashlight in this one
What ever it is, ot won't be the same if u r using iit on LTE network, that will put a serious dent on any expected battery life that u might have. The thing is, they probably would have been better off making the phone in the same form factor, or at least with a removeable battery, until the second gen of LTE radio shows up with better power efficiency.

More proof for the rescheduling to February. While the reasons that DroidLife points out for this are valid, there are also some big disadvantages for this move. Here are some that come to my mind:
- If by Feb it doesn't launch with ICS it will be a big drawback.
- By Feb phones shipping with the new generation of chips should already be announced. This might hold back customers.
- What if by then there are leaks for the D5 release June!?
More?
The good news is that the days are getting longer now.

With announcement now slipping out to at least February of next year, I am afraid that most of the "wow" will become simply "me too".
The O/S now has to be ICS (as already mentioned).
The processor needs to be upgraded to at least a 1.5GHz dual core.
While the display might remain 4", it has to be Super AMOLED.
Otherwise, there will be a lot laughing at Motorola during the CES.![]()
i agree that this phone should have ICS if it is coming out in february, but the current specs would not lead to people laughing at moto.. i say this because it would still be the best keyboarded droid on the market
Why are they waiting till February? By the time I'm due for my upgrade, the Droid 5 will probably be on the market.

This is going to sell the device regardless of what else is available. I am going to use my Galaxy Nexus though until there is a true high end device with keyboard. And when I say high end I mean larger display than 4" and processor that is 100% current generation stuffs.
I really am somewhat confused by why phones with keyboards are always marketed as somewhat less premium than those without and tend to never get as large a screens or as upto date processors and radios and such. There are a lot of smartphone power users out there that would probably ditch some really premium nonkeyboard slab smartphones for a TRULY premium keyboarded phone. The problem being that most of us want the keyboard more for convenience than any real NEED for a better than soft keyboard input method. In the end though I would pay MORE than for any other available device if there were a phone that really was just as premium as any out there and also had a keyboard. As it stands though they are usually less premium and often actually cheaper than other options.
BTW, these new renders seems to suggest maybe something is getting reworked a bit?? It somehow seems thicker?? That would be a good thing if it meant removable battery and larger display. Bad though if it's a reason for hold up and also a sign moto is again readjusting for the missfire that RAZR seems to have been in many respects by focusing to much on thickness minimization. I'm referring mostly to the picture that has the back of the device. The one with the front looks more similar to what we had seen previously.
