New Affordable International Data Roaming and Text MSG Options

looks like we now have a somewhat affordable international data roaming and global msg plans from ATT They are now being prorated by date only and not usage. call the up tell them to add one of there crazy expensive international data roaming or msg plans... keep it on for the days only you will be away than call them when you return and take it off.. you can use all the data in the plan within 1 day if you like and only get charged for number of days not how much you use... i.e i used 675mb of data while roaming in europe on their 800mg plan in 10 days. great option now..... just and fyi ... thanks

I purchased a fifty megabyte package for my wife when she went to Australia. I cancelled after twelve days. She used about sixteen megabytes. Both the allowance and the charges were prorated based upon the number of days the plan was in effect. She was allowed to use 19.4 megabytes. If I had cancelled as soon as she returned in six days, she would have been allowed only 9.7 megabytes. There would have an overage charge for the remaining usage. If you keep the package active for the entire month, you can use the allowance any way you want.
