I really love this plan too and might jump on it once we see some speed tests. Instead of saving my money for the OB, I might try to find a comparable 4G device under $300.
Devices: HTC Mogul, HTC Touch, HTC Touch Pro, HTC Touch Pro 2, Samsung Moment, Samsung Intercept, Motorola Triumph, LG Optimus V, LG Optimus Slider, Nook, Iconia Tab, HTC Sensation
This is the best news to arrive from the prepaid front in quite some time. Sprint will now have to respond to this new 4G value pricing with a 4G device on both Virgin Mobile and VM's BB2Go service.
Maybe Sprint will respond with a unique product offering of their own on VM's value priced service.
There may be some interesting news this month regarding new prepaid products.
Thank You T-Mobile you will be missed if Big Blue gets a green light for their plans to do away with you.
P R E P A I D is just another way to offer (and pay for) premium services and devices.
The idea of potentially having 4G speeds, better coverage, and more phone options is very tempting. I don't even come close to using up 100 minutes, so that isn't even a concern for me. I wonder how VM will respond.
I'd love to be able to consider this, but I use about 150 minutes a month, so that counts me out. Wish they could have made it 200 minutes. Wouldst made all the difference for me.
Well, it is exciting for those who do not go over 100 min (I cannot remember a time in history I was this low). However - and more importantly - do you not need a 4G phone to go on a 4 G plan - "just about any GSM phone" may not do - and this may need specific phones.
Well, overage minutes are only 10 cents a minute, that would be 35 bucks a month for you, still an awesome deal.

T-Mobile has confirmed it's not limited to any specific phones. You can even put a dumbphone on the plan if you feel like it.

Find yourself a MyTouch 4G, I just sold a 1 week old one for 240 on eBay. You will be very happy if the coverage works for you.
Tethering is supported on that phone right out of the box, no additional charge.
I always got at least 4MB down and 1 up when in a T-Mobile 4G area. They blow VM out of the water.
I wish I could have made them work for me but voice coverage where I am was not the best and I still use my phone as a phone first.
It does have me thinking that maybe I should have kept the phone. Page Plus or H2o for unlimited talk and text (if I can find a good, rugged clam shell phone) and a 4G T-Mobile device for tethering and data.
The only real issue with this plan is the service behind it... if AT&T got their grubby paws on T -Mobile, then that would be the end of a good plan and a possibly high investment if you wanted a good GSM phone.
Hopefully the Department of Justice will keep that from happening. Hopefully. AT&T has recently been given Consumer Reports' general Bottom of the Barrel rewards when it comes to both signal quality and customer service.
...and I just purchased a Triumph. Well, I guess the 30 day return policy may come in handy. I would love a Windows 7.5 phone like the HTC Radar for $30 a month.
