    $30/month: 100 min, unl texts, 5GB data!

New T-Mobile.com/Walmart plan to compete directly with Virgin Mobile's $35 plan:

Who thinks this plan will take customers away from T-Mobile postpaid plans?

This is a totally perfect replacement for good old SideKick prepaid.

If this is real 3G and not the bare minimum 3G, then I would seriously switch. I rarely use over 50 minutes/month

I don't make alot of calls but, 100 minutes is just not enough for me to feel comfortable. 200 minutes maybe. I could get by with 100 minutes if it weren't for losing a minute each time I got someone's voicemail and such.

I'm very excited about this. I've got Google Voice, so with Groove IP, I won't need to use any minutes. I don't need the unlimited texting because of the Google Voice, and the 5GB cap should be fine because that's what I've got now and I rarely go over it.

you only loose minutes if you call and check them, most new smartphones come with the visual voicemail app so you dont even loose minutes for voicemail anymore

honestly take this plan with a good google voice or skype setup and this could be a great deal

I was actually refering to calling somebody and getting their VM. I don't like leaving voicemail usually. So, I keep trying to get them. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

If you use 300 minutes, then this plan is essentially $50/mo. So this still is a great deal for someone who needs a lot of data, unlimited texts, and 300 minutes or less.

I am really curious as to what the 'throttled' speeds will be

If it's anything like simple mobile and 200kbps- forgetaboutit!

But 100 mins... meh. They should have went with 250-300. Charge $5 more if they need to. $35/mo
    Home ISP, RR-Ultimate WiFi, $90/mo | Verizon 4G, $30/mo Unlimited

    School, $5,000/semester | Work

The first 5GB sounds like its full speed 4G and then its going to be throttled like normal (ie 64kbps).
