When I broke my 3GS, I upgraded to the HTC Inspire 4g. I HATED it. Regardless, I'll take an iPhone over any phone, any day.
im kinda in the same boat with apple... once i got used to iOS and android, all other operating systems were primative ... and wont go back unless i have to ...
iPhone 4S on AT$T: Unlimited Talk, Text & Web w/NO throttling…. iPhone 4 on Boost Mobile: Talk, text, MMS & 3G Data .. since 6.11.12
If you can't see that todays society has gone to sh*t, then you ARE the problem or PART of the problem…
Her is a good question that is very important to me and possibly a good few others...
Will iOS 5 have the hotspot feature by default or will we have to add it ourselves ?
just read this from http://www.tipb.com/2011/10/12/ios-5...sonal-hotspot/
So you just updated to iOS 5 and you find you have a problem — you go to use Wi-Fi Personal Hotspot feature and… it’s gone?! Don’t fret. Stop cursing. It’s happened with previous upgrades too. Truth is, It’s not really gone, it’s just hiding, and here are a couple things you can do to coax it back.
Bug
Personal Hotspot seems to have disappeared.
Solution 1
Look for it where it lives.
Launch the Settings app.
Tap General.
Tap Network.
Scroll down and look for Personal Hotspot.
If it somehow got turned off during the update, turn it back on.
Wait for it to activate.
Once it re-activates, you should find it back where it was before, on the first page of Settings.
Solution 2
If that doesn’t work, it’s time to escalate reset the Settings.
launch the Settings app.
Tap General.
Scroll all the way to the bottom.
Tap Reset Network Settings.
Wait for your iPhone to restart, and if you still don’t see it, repeat Solution 1.
Fixed?
That’s a lot but that’s it. You should have your Personal Hotspot back up and running. If you’ve experienced this bug and used these solutions, let us know how they worked for you. If you tried something else that worked, let us know about that too!
iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPad2, Travel International Motorola (At&t,T-Mobile and SmartFree Quattro SIM) iSip from InTouch SmartCards
that is 100% correct. Had this phone been re-designed and labeled iPhone 5…. The complainers would have wet themselves.
i have an evo and while the larger screen is better for almost everything, the phone is just large and awkward… The iPhone fits better and besides, i don't browse on the iPhone, i tether it :-)
I actually browse the phone and use it in place of my PC most of the time that's why I do need a bigger screen.
With my Android device which has a built-in wifi hotspot, the speeds are insanely slow. Maybe they would improve if I tethered via USB but I havent figured out how to do that yet.

And the way business and life works, the more that people complain, the greater chance that they'll be heard and change will occur

100% agreed. I am just lucky not to be in the market this year, so I don't fall into a group with something to complain about this year. Count me in next year

I went from a Droid X to the iphone 4 (back in Feb) and at first I really missed the screen size and like you I use my phone for my business and spend a bunch of time on the web. Well the screen size, 4G, and so had come back to mind when the Bionic came out so yesterday I went by a VZ store since both the Bionic and Siri had peaked my curiosity and after holding the Bionic I quickly realized it was just too big. So I impulse bought a 4s and Siri alone was worth the upgrade. Hopefully the next iphone will get a slightly bigger screen but retain its smaller size.

i use the WiFi tethering when my battery life is above 50%…. if its below 50% like down to about ~30%, then i will tether via USB to charge it while tethering…
Speed difference..?? Have not done any tests to see any difference and probably won't do one.. Don't think its even worth the hassle cause i don't have any issue's on either method..
I taught Siri who my wife, my father, my mother, and my grandmother was but because the only relationships available on the contact list are spouse, manager, and assistant it consistently gets them mixed up. Has anybody else noticed that or does it have something to do with me using exchange or something?

First congrats on your new 4S, second the size you are right about, but Siri is available on android as Iris or Skyve and some others.
And soon Siri will look primitive as Google Majel steps in the picture.

easy fix/solution… DONT rely on Siri, do it the old fashioned way…
