Text message sending and recieving pictures

Phone: Droid X; Page Plus 1200 TnT

Is anyone having problems sending and receiving picture text messages?

When someone sends me a photo I get a grey box that gives me the option to download or ignore. When I try to download I get two messages one a the top, "text message not received", and one at the bottom, "national access coverage not available".

When I try to send (insert picture, gallery, photo, send) one i get the same messages.

Is this normal?

Have you used up all your data for the month? MMS requires data for the picture, but not for the text. I don't use MMS myself, so I don't know if that's what would happen, but it's what occurs to me. If that's what it is, you could work around it by adding $10 to your account, so any data charges would come out of that until your plan renews.

You are either out of data, have data turned off, or are blocking the "messaging" app with droidwall.

At least that's my best guess.

How many different people have tried to send you an MMS? Do they ALL fail?

Have you EVER been able to receive MMS?

With WiFi OFF, and cellular data ON, are you able to access the internet?

What phone are you using?

all MMS fails
MMS ok when on Verizon, not on PagePlus
Internet ok without WIFI

Does your phone have a custom ROM? I've read at least one report that a custom ROM caused MMS not to work properly.

The only other thing I can think of is to call PPC CS and ask them to do an ESN reset. I think this is basically where the CS rep takes the phone off of the PPC system and then puts it back on the system. That has been reported to fix various issues. Maybe somebody else can give some input?
