No idea. The SC-02C is 3G only, isn't it?

The GSII LTE-HD I was referring to was imported from Korea I believe, and runs on regular 3G/HSPA networks. Not sure if it'll connect to CSL's LTE network.

noticed awhile ago, that screenshot works. Just press home and power/lock button at the same time. I tried doing this when it was 2.2 and didn't work.

Sharpe tried to update 005, he easily update Android 2.2 to 2.3, only if the version for your phone will be S0900.
I'm in the computer all the downloaded and stopped at the stage where you need to go to the point Major update, click the Start update and should be a menu - update on WiFi or PC. (I have a paragraph Start update gray, not pressed)
If the version below, you will need to update it, and only through 3G and only in Japan ((((
I have a version of the S0500 is thought as outside Japan to update the software?
If someone will tell me how to upgrade to S0900 immediately I'll post a detailed description of how to update the Android to 2.3 if necessary of course .....

A short manual how to properly install the program to update the phones Android: Sharp 12C 003SH, 005SH, DM009SH, IS05
To get started, go to "Control Panel" in Windows - regional settings - change the interface language, in addition - to change the system language - select Japanese. The computer will ask to reboot - reboot. This is a setting for Windows 7, for XP - Control Panel - Regional and Language Options - Advanced - select Japanese and put a check box to "10001-MAC Japanese" - to apply and reboot.
Download and install the software and drivers here
    http://k-tai.sharp.co.jp/support/download/s/ #! / soft_utility
Put the driver, run the program and if you have the latest version of the software, everything should work. Good luck.

I think the phone must be switched to Japanese as well or you might end up brocking your phone, exactly as I did. But I wrote these instructions (that you must switch Windows and your phone to Japanese) one or two pages earlier in the same thread

    It's S0900 for the 005SH and S1900 for the 003SH.

Anyway, ny advice is, even if you discover a way to upgrade to Android 2.3.4, DO NOT DO IT because it turns out there are problems with that firmware and some phones are randomly losing connectivity (both in GSM/3G and Wi-Fi), which is why Sharp rolled out another firmware update less than a month after the major update - and you can only install this in Japan, over 3G. As I wrote above, following this, there is yet another update, which I don't have but my phone has been quite stable - except for the two bugs I described above.

How did you get your phone out of the major update loop? Wasn't it bricked like mine SH-03C?

I sent it to Japan, where a friend took it to a Softbank repairs centre. They said they'd replaced the entire circuit board - and that's what it says on the guarantee card actually.

There probably isn't some back door code....so I guess start guessing and try the codes that you think you would use.

    It's all good (^_^)

dude what makes you think writing in red giant bold letters will solve your issue? there is no security code if you change it then use the same one.
