Will you be getting iPhone 4S?

Are you going to be getting an iPhone 4? If so why?

Myself, I'll be lining up with a group of friends - it's a nice excuse to hang out. There will probably be a 2 iPhone limit so I'll be grabbing one for myself and one to give away on the site.

Oh yeah forgot to mention. I've been running OS5 on my iPhone 4 and I think it's noticeably slower than OS4 so I'm hoping the 4s will run it a lot faster.

i'll be keeping my iphone 4 and not upgrading to the 4s since it really doesn't offer me anything of advantage to do so and spend the $ for it. i think apple dropped the ball this time with this release. when it comes time to upgrading in december, i may go with an htc type smartphone this time. getting tired of apple's silly little games that they play and what they are offering versus some of the other companies. just my opinion. nope, won't be getting the 4s unit..gl to all that do and hope it works out for them.

I have an upgrade coming up in November so I will probably get the new 4s and give my wife my iphone 4. The only thing is my current phone is jail-broken and I'm gonna hate giving up MyWi, My3g, MyProfiles and WinterBoard.

I'm going to get one, and give my 4 to my mother (she's tired of using her freebie Nokia, heh, I feel bad!).
As Howard mentioned, I think OS5 will be more of a pleasure to use on the new device.
Might go for the white one this time around for a change...

When I upgraded my 3GS to OS4. I did notice a lag. So either you can live with a little slow phone or dont update to OS5. Then wait for Iphone 5 comes out next year.

oh i don't upgrade every year, usually every 2-2.5, by then it is time. there isn't really any dif as you say between 3-4s just like the 3 to the 3gs..the really big happening i guess was when a lot of folks went from the 3g or the 3gs unit to the 4 as the 4 was so much faster and would do more than the 3 by far. and yes it was faster than the 3gs. my point was that i think a lot of people were expecting more from apple this time with a 5 unit...well, a new unit did come out and does offer a lot of upgrades just happens to be called the 4s unit. for me, it is not worth spending the money to get a new unit and when i do decide to get a new unit, i may be looking elsewhere for a new mobile as it seems that apple is sort of behind the times and been sitting on thumbs and really concentrating on siri and such but leaving out the 4g speed and lte that is going to be a standard and even more popular in the very near future. oh i love my iphone 4, just not going to get the 4s unit for what it is going to offer for me..for someone else, they might like and be right for them. for me, it is not.

Yes I am getting it! I just finished pre-ordering it this morning. The Apple online store opened up for me at 3:45 am!

I'll be getting one, but not going to pre-order it.

It's for my wife on our family plan, to replace her 3GS. I'm using the 4 and have no plans on replacing that right now.


I have to go into the store next Friday to purchase one since I need to have my upgrade eligibility on my phone moved over to my wife's phone, so we can get the 64gb phone at the $399 price. AT&T or Apple will not do this for me over the phone, so I'm not going to pre-order. Worse case if the phones sell out or become back-ordered for 3-6 weeks, then we're not going to worry about it since it's more of a luxury than a necessity.
